Richland District
C.E.R.T.
What will I be trained to do?
You will be trained how to turn off utilities properly.  You will be taught light search and rescue and how to fight small fires. You will be trained to give emergency medical care to victims until higher trained medical personnel arrive on scene and assume control.

Why should I be trained?

Disasters strike with little or no notice! They don't care who it affects or when. The same can be said about emergencies. The one most affected is usually the community. Our community. If we do not protect our own community and its people then  who will? In true disasters normal Emergency Service can quickly be overwhelmed.  We would be on our own! It is better to be on your with training than to be on your own with no training. As the man would say; "That's a no brainer!  Check out movie for more information.

We are currently taking applications to become part of the Richland District CERT. Go to contact page for more information. If you have already had CERT training and live in the Richland, Urburndale, Nations area we would like to hear from you.

How do I get trained?
